Maxemarker – app for iPhone and iPad, Resolve script and website maxemarker.maxecute.de · Last updated: October 2026

In short: Maxemarker does not collect any data. The app has no account, no tracking, no ads and no analytics, and sends nothing to us. All markers stay on your device and in the folder you choose yourself. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party servers (no Google Fonts either).

2. The app

No collection by us

The app processes all data locally on your iPhone or iPad only. There is no sign-up, no server of ours, no analytics or crash reports sent to us and no third-party services built in. We receive no data about you or how you use the app.

What is stored on your device

This data stays on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. It may be part of your device's iCloud or computer backup, which Apple performs under your responsibility.

Local network

To connect to the ATEM switcher, iOS asks for local network access. The app only talks to the switcher IP address you entered (UDP port 9910) and reads timecode, recording status, file name and model name. It does not scan other devices on the network and transfers nothing to the internet.

Exchange folder and export

If you choose an exchange folder, the app saves marker files (JSON, optionally EDL) and the license file for the Resolve script there. If that folder belongs to a cloud service (e.g. iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive) or a network share, that provider handles the transfer under its own privacy terms. The same applies when you share files via the share sheet (e.g. AirDrop, Mail). We have no access to them.

3. The Resolve script

The script runs only inside DaVinci Resolve on your computer. It reads the marker files and the license file from the sync folder, checks the license locally, places markers, creates timelines and stores settings and a log in your user folder (Mac: Library/Application Support/Maxemarker, Windows: %APPDATA%\Maxemarker). It makes no internet connection and sends nothing to us.

4. Download from the App Store

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. For the purchase and download, Apple processes the necessary data (e.g. Apple Account, payment data, device identifier) under its own responsibility; Apple's privacy policy applies. From Apple we only receive aggregated, non-personal sales and usage statistics. If you agreed in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with crash reports that are not linked to you.

5. This website

When you visit maxemarker.maxecute.de your browser automatically sends data to our host's server: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data, browser and operating system and the referring page. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and protect the server. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host keeps these logs only briefly and then deletes or anonymizes them.

We use no cookies, no analytics or tracking and no embedded third-party content. Fonts and images are served exclusively from our own web space. The App Store link only takes you to Apple when you click it.

Hosting: STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany – servers in Germany, data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.

6. Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed and no retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Please contact us at the address above.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the one responsible for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

8. Changes

We update this policy when the app, the script or the website change. The version published here applies. In case of doubt the German version prevails.
