FAQ
The app doesn't connect to the ATEM.
Check Settings › iPhone network for a connection with a green check. The first three blocks of the iPhone's and the ATEM's IP address must match, the last number must differ. A common mistake with LAN adapters: the ATEM's own address was entered on the iPhone. Also make sure local network access is allowed for Maxemarker in iOS Settings › Privacy › Local Network.
The script doesn't find a marker file.
Is an exchange folder chosen in the app and “Save automatically” turned on? iCloud Drive can take about a minute to sync – then click Search again in the script or choose the exchange folder directly with Folder ….
“Maxemarker” doesn't appear under Workspace › Scripts.
Run the installer again and restart Resolve. Scripts in this menu only work in DaVinci Resolve Studio; with the free version import the markers as EDL (see the guide).
The markers are offset.
Check the frame rate: in the app under Settings › Timecode › Frame rate, “Automatic” should show the ATEM's frame rate. At 50p the frames in the timecode must count up to 49. “Compensate reaction time” deliberately places every marker a little earlier.
The watch app says “iPhone not reachable”.
Open Maxemarker on the iPhone and keep it open. Watch and iPhone must be connected via Bluetooth or the same Wi‑Fi. Markers placed in the meantime are delivered automatically.
Does the app work without an ATEM?
Yes, with No-ATEM mode in Settings. The timecode then comes from the iPhone clock and you start recordings on the Live screen.
“License required” in the script
The script only runs together with the app. The app saves the license file Maxemarker.license to the sync folder. In the script window choose that folder with Folder … or click Check again. When sharing via AirDrop, keep the license file next to the installer and run it again.
